Hello all,
New to this site so was hoping for a bit of advice before I buy a 1997 Discovery. Its 93000miles has sound body work and suspension (no squeeky bits). Under the bonnet seems ok with a bit of an oil leak not sure where from, probably rocker cover. Engine runs fine. Autobox selects all the gears. Not driven it yet owner wasnt there but his collegue let me in. Inside though the electric window switches in the centre console will only open the passenger side. The drivers side makes all the right noises and I can hear the gubbins in the door doing the biz but no window movement. The back windows wont work at all from the centre console. But they do when using the switches in the rear doors. The electric mirrors dont really play too well, the adjuster switch seems a bit intermitent. Also the front wipers seems to do their own thing and not what I ask for on the control stalk. Any advice from the the jedis on this site really would be great at this point. Am i about to buy an electrical drama, or could there be some quick fixes to these problems.
Thanks all.:D
