Ok I've a desire for a 110 for the collection, I'd like 200tdi or 300tdi and
would have to be CSW.

I'd also like to tart it up so would want to put a nice set of alloys on.
Which years onwards had the axles that accept Landy Alloys without the dust
cap poking out of the centre cap hole?

May come to nothing yet and something would have to give in the fleet.

Yes I know alloys aren't best for off roading, I have a set of steels here
with near new Off road tyres on for such an event.

Load space and simplicity are swinging my desire most of all.

Air con would be an absoloute boon as we do long trips in Europe while
towing. Again are there any specific models that had this is was it purely
SVeh's and aftermarket / optional extra for rich farmers?

I think they look better with steel wheels to be honest....

This is my car now!

The TD engine is fine, MILES more powerful than the NA 2.5 D, drives a treat & could pull a house down. I
have every MOT & service stamp its ever had too!

The only thing (i knew when i bought it) it needs is a new gearbox, not the end of the world. It will
stand me at £3500 when the box is done.

It's got a full set of trac edges & i just fit a radio!!! BTW, what a pain in the arse to replace the
****ty standard speakers!! I go get a set of decent Kenwoods so i can hear something other than wind
noise, diesel clatter & tyre noise & then take the originals out! My god, the drivers is Ok, the
passenger on has the feckin' wiper motor behind it so needs 2 spaces to fit it!! Looks a right ****! But
it does sound alright!

I looked for ages for one only to find dressed up dogs or expensive piles of ****! I found the 200 or
300's too expensive for what i wanted.

It does give me a big smile every time i get the blue haze on morning startup!!

Mines never been welded & looks superb underneath, it also does about 25-27 to the gallon fully loaded
with tools & gear for jobs!

I much prefer the 110 over the 90, it drives much nicer & is much more practical, it might get stuck
easier off road, but who cares?

I'd agree with both those statements, particularly the latter having just got
back from an over-night trip to Cheddar and back (from t'other side of
Buxton). 156k on the clock on mine (1990 90 hard top, so one of the last
2.5TDs to be made, I guess) and it pulled 70 mph on the M42/M5 no problem.
Burns hardly any oil as well. It did burn not much more than 22mpg though!

Nick.
