Just found a bulkhead for my S3, looks just about perfect with all the bits I need!

Trouble is its in Wales and im in Norfolk (216 miles). Any ideas of how to get it here?

Have got quotes from the courier people advertising on ebay, but that's £200+ then I see shops on ebay selling 5 tyres on rims, and the postage is only £45 and theyve got to be bigger, and a lot heavier than a bulkhead! Where can i get it sent this cheap??

Thanks,

biosbill

Think you said 34kgs, but I take it thats brand new, without dash/wiring etc. Think DHL would just about take a bare one, but think with all the other stuff, would be too heavy

U looking at the same thing as me by any chance?? :)

Its in Knighton Powys (hope thats wales otherwise im gonna look an idiot!:( )

and im in Norfolk

Phone a local pallet line - its about £50 to move a pallet anywhere in the country, £129 for a double.

I would expect you could fasten it onto a pallet standing up on its end and build a frame to hold it, then you can get it on a single.

just had a totally refurbished, and very expensive one delivered today by tnt. According to the consignment weight on the paperwork it was 22.635. (bare bulkhead) Wrapped in some card, and bubble wrap. Few knocks + scrapes from transport though!
This cost me, through a reputable land rover place, £55

Looks pretty good, thanks!

Its even pretty close to me.

Have contacted to see if it confirms with their t&c's

Thanks

When I bought my bulk head I used the wifes volvo 940 estate and it had room to spare. If you know any one with a volvo estate take em out, get em drunk and get em to say yes they will pick it up for you while they dont know whats happening. Bulkhead would fit in the smaller 850 estate too I reckon.;) Looks like its worth the joyrney for that one because its nice and tidy.

Well, I see soo many of them rotting, or for spares on ebay. Thought, even though It'll probably bankrupt me :), I might as well save one. Then I may even sell for a Def 90 ;)

Transport .. TNT are always worth a phone call.

Great service. I've had an account with TNT for 20 years.
