Bulkhead Compatability

I'm keeping my eye out for a reasonably priced bulkhead for my '86 2.5 N/A 90.

Ideally I'd like to get a galv one, but not sure if funds will permit. Basically the O/S Door pillar is as rotten as a pear and the N/S vent area has rust. It also looks like a repair has been done on the O/S vent at some point.

I haven't stripped it down yet, however as soon as I start to I think I will find more hence keeping an eye out for a reasonably priced replacement rather than welding repair panels on.

Would the TDCI bulkhead fit? I understand the 200 and 300tdi units need some fettling around the gearbox tunnel to fit. Is this all? I've had a search around but can't seem to find much.

A definitive list of what would need doing to each bulkhead would be good.

don't know about fitting, but id imagine non of the dash would be easy to refit, the interior is completely different on the tdci, and you'd loose the bulkhead vents.

not hard to change the gear box tunnel, and i would think a tdci bulkhead will be quit expensive plus the dash is different id got for a 200/300 tdi one

I've seen the tdci ones go for ridiculously cheap on eBay (last one in mint condition ended at 28 quid) and I was actually wondering the same thing but I doubt I could be arsed with fettling it just to make the dash fit back in
