Its surprising how much better that will look with a coat of paint! (Not saying its bad, but when something is a uniform colour and not broken up by shiny bits in each different direction).

I take it that's fabricated yourself, cutting steel to shape, welding and grinding to shape? Rather than a precut and fabbed repair section. Not going to make any comments on the welding as I can only just weld myself. :eek:

one side was a pre-cut piece but I had to cut it up and add a bit to it, welding was a nightmare I kept blowing holes because it was only 1mm thick and the old steel was rusty inside so was even thinner, a bit of research on youtube showed me to hold the welder at a angle rather than strait at it helps keep the heat down seemed to work.cheers for the comments
 
you was right it does look better with a bit of paint
