Building a 130?

Think I'm following I've only just started back on insta. Not got anything with the defender but will be keeping my eye on the build, would really like to improve the camping set up next year

You will see on my insta how we first started out. Sleeping in the back and living in a £50 gazebo! loved it to!!

Our main focus on camping set up for to get set up asap and no faffing trying to find things! Every thing has its place and you will see this in the next few months.

They start with a 6x6 chassis usually an old fire tender etc or go for a Q plate...

Buy a 110 chassis modify to suit your body...buy axles and drive train to fit...fit engine to modified chassis then fill in relevant forms for reg...

Find the thread for a 6x6 disco thread on here. he went for a SVA….

I have done 1 SVA and what a job. Now this was a full blown racer(bowler shaped) you have to jump through loads of hoops & regs which are listed on the GOV site. You need all receipts for everything.

find foley 4x4 & ask them they do plenty of conversions & may be able to guide you.
