Budgie in engine, tried penny trick

1995 300tdi 5 door Auto

Got a budgie style squeaking constant from when engine is started and gets faster when I accelerate

Had a nose on forum and tried penny trick although it seems not to be getting worse when accelerating its still there. What else can it be ? thanks

Squeaky fan belt? Try a little bit of talc, not too much or it slips.

Had a squeek in my engine also for 2 days, then the idler shattered and took out the cooling hose too.

Replaced the idler bearing still squeaking. Thought the penny trick cant work, b****r me, amazing works a treat saved abouyt £80.00 from Landrover.

There is a picture and instructions if you do a search. Stops the squealing.

Actually its stopped :| so maybe just needed a bit of time for penny trick to settle?

Cant see anything thats dropped off or snapped
