Went to check the oil in the diffs earlier and found that the front one had bubbly brown stuff comin' from it, I take it that's not normal?. Had a look in paynes manual and it sed oil should be just at the top of filler hole, took the bung thing out and it ran for quite a while, take it that's not normal either??

been in much muddy water recently buster? trace the breather pipe up from the axle, make sure it at a high point. like MHM said, might be worth considering extensions. you can DIY it very easily using better connections. search on here for DIY breathers. i got my bits off a company in tewksbury i think. might be under water now though! anyway... find that breather and blow hard into it. if you get a smell of ep90 back you know its not blocked. if its blocked you wont feel the air rushing back out.

if the muddy water isnt getting in through your breathers its most likely the hub seals.

what i would be inclined to do is refresh with new ep90 drive for a month or 2 and replace again to see how bad it is. if you havent replaced the axle oils since you had it, there is no way of telling when it was last done. it might have done 30,000 miles since the last change, who knows. should be changed every 6000. or more if your driving adverse conditions.

A BIG THANKS guys:D just goin' to drain old crap out and give me breaver a good blowin;) ;) :D
The hub seal you sed about griff, is that the swivel hub one's? If it is, I've noticed there's a load of gunk around them. Going to drain them off maybe sunday and fill with that one-shot stuff.
Muddy water.... mmmmm, i do go across a river now and again to take the dog swimmin', but the water at deepest is usually just below the sills.

i fink that mite be high enuf to wash over the top of the axles - thats all yu need. I dont fink its muddy water - i fink it is RUSTY water - so check all the bearings n stuff.

Hi mad, you could be right, it feels and looks very runny not like oil. Had one set of bearin's done on the front not so long ago so hopefully they'll be ok, will keep my eye on the other set though. Still have a spare set left over from doin' the back just incase.

One shot is the way to go. You can get CV joint grease from motor shops it's a bit thicker than the pukka one shot stuff but works just as well, you'll need some sort of syringe to get it in there though.

would the syringe be for one shot or uther stuff? Already got one shot in bottle form and it's got nozzle. With the mood the missies is in the night, I might just go and have a go with it:eek: :D
