Hi, The air bags are to be considered as a service item and people seem to get 5/7yrs out of them. They go because grit gets trapped in the fold of the bag and causes abrasions. How old were yours?
I'm not sure this has anything to do with your 3 amigos. It's usually a hub on the way out. I'm on air and happy with it as I tow.
Regards,
Griff

Haha that might be my issue then as I seriously doubt that these have ever been changed and the car is 17 years old

The compressor has been making a loud noise after I have been parked up so I would imagine that is not in a great condition either

You can get service kits for the compresor on line. Usually the compresor stops working if it overworks as a form of protection and needs to be re-set with nanocom or similar (execeds duty cycles) Having 2 new bags may sort it.

Yep, could be that

But then again might not be and I am down an expensive rabbit hole

At least going with the coils keeps things simple

Well, coil conversion done

Old air suspension stuff left there just incase I do go back, but on first drive with the coils I dont know why I would

Feels great which to be fair, might be because the air suspension wasnt working properly!

The 4 amigos have also now went out, so wonder if the air suspension having problem was causing them!

Now I'm hoping the suspension being faulty was causing my horrendous fuel consumption and now it will improve, but I'm not too hopeful of that!
