Disco 1 Broken driver's seat options?

For a while now the driver's seat has been broken on my 200tdi k reg disco. I can't seem to find a replacement second hand seat anywhere! I've Tryed to fix the base to no avail to.

Is there any other landrover model seats I could make fit? Maybe something which is a bit more readily available.

I haven't tried seperating the seat base from the seat in case I break it beyond repair when I don't have a spare seat to replace it with, but in theory is there a way of fixing a diff seat to the base?

Any tips or advice greatly appreciated!

Would 300 tdi seats like those in the eBay advert fit in my 200? As the base / sub frame is different?

I've seen those but unfortunately they won't help, I should have mentioned the seat metal base and part of the metal lower back support have both broken

These are from a 200, or if you can find an early 300 3 door they should fit

Can you not strip them down and weld the breaks ?

I had considered that and it may work, however if I break it further stripping it down then I'm completely without a seat. I have tried stripping it down before but got stuck halfway and didn't want to risk it. It might be something I try if I manage to get a spare seat.

Breakers or blag a duff one from someone on here who is scrapping a vehicle.

I'm picking this up next weekend, I can have a look at the state of the seat for you if you want

You can make almost anything fit by Just knocking up some brackets for the runners. I have smart car seats in one of mine.

I would take the chance to swap them out for something better then LR seats ..

I have alfa seats In mine.

I used 5mm plates just like owas' picture, drilled to suit whatever seat you go for and then attach the rails to suit the disco seat subframe.

I just welded the seat runners to the flat bar on mine after miscalculating the bolt holes lol.

I'm picking it up from somewhere around the Banbury area on Saturday so if you want to meet up somewhere around there you can have the seat even if it's only to practice stripping before you tackle your own one
