Quite common on all vehicles. Unscrew the grille and you should be able to reach in and fiddle with the release mechanism.Just popped out to fill up the washer bottle and the was no resistance from the bonnet release handle. The bonnet is shut tight.
Anyone had this problem before. Need to get into engine bay without a can opener if possible.
Find the wee lever the cable attaches to and pull it towards the drivers side
An Allen key gripped in a Mole wrench makes a good tool for moving the lever toward the driver's side of the vehicle in my experience.
I just used my fingers...but if you're not man enough, well.....
Ah, there's nothing quite like that precision panel fit on Land Rovers is there? Mine was a bit too tight against the slam panel for fingers, so I needed something L shaped.
I have skinny fingers, and like many people's, they bend in the middle.
