So we bought this Britpart choke cable for our 5 door 109 and it is an odd assembly. If you Google this item you will come up with a number of vendors that carry it but none of the ones I looked at have any sort of description, for example, length or the fact that it can be locked by turning the knob. What is more important, and strange, is the fact that you cannot pull the cable out of the cover sleeve. This means you cannot take the nut off the end, feed the sleeve into a hole in the dash and then slip the nut over the cable to tighten it in place. Seems like it is intended to go into a fork rather than a hole in the dash. We were able to get it fitted to the dash by cutting a slot in a washer, twisting it to open it up so that it could go over the threads just in front of boss where the threads end. Straightening the washer then gave the nut something to tighten against (washer against boss). Had to modify the other end as well to get the choke to close all the way and then open up. Hours to just fit a choke cable....Does work better than the old one.
