i have single line servo brakes on my swb 2
replaced the wheel cylinders brake master adjusted cams
bled the poxy things and still the friggin pedal goes nearly to the floor before anything happens its like the bloody shoes are a mile from the drums
could this be the servo shagged have not tried to start the engine
can hear air from servo just cant get pedal if i pump um i get pedal and it stays hard and the friggin pedal lol:smash:

Sounds like you still have air but other than more bleeding the flexi pipes can expand under pressure. Are the bleed nipples on the top on the wheel cylinders? A common problem with bleeding twin leaders is the nipple at the bottom.

Servo won't do anything without the engine running (probably won't do a lot either way) but shouldn't effect pedal just effort required.

One way to check for air in the system is to pinch up snail adjusters and see if you still have a long pedal. Be very wary of letting the reservior run low as the only way to get rid of air at the beginning of the system is to pump it right through from scratch.

Also best to spin wheels and apply brakes hard several times and readjusting snails

There's an awful lot of air can hide itself in a Land Rover braking system. Sometimes you need to let it settle overnight and then bleed it some more the following day. Another thing you might be able to do is see if there's any adjustment on the rod that sticks out of the servo to push on the master cylinder piston. Some of them can be screwed in and out - if you wind it out you can eliminate some of the pedal travel and the brakes will start to work with the pedal a bit higher.

I gather that you said short wheel base series2. Sorry don't get the cell phone talk everyday. You don't mention that you adjusted the brake shoes. If you can pump the brakes and the pedal comes up and hold it....like you said you need to adjust the shoes.

ha ha sorted me brakes decided to take all the bloody drums off.
the retard i bought it off of had decided to renew the shoes and cylinders.
trouble is i had no trailin shoes he ignored the spring posts and hooked both the bloody shoes together no wonder i had no ####in pedal bless him.
moral of this story is just because you have old shoes and new boxs in the back
dont mean to say its been done right.
he was from birkenhead lol:D

o on another prob i bought a new brake master cylinder they dont give u a o ring with it.
so with out a thought a banged it on to hear lots of whooshing of air a nother thing to do
along with new exaust centre pipe and back box conect horn.
hang the washing out then get it motd found the tax disc today 05 was the last time it was on the road lol it was meant to come and live with me

What do you mean servo....the vacuum unit, then yes if it is leaking the pedal will be hard. You dont mention that you fitted a o- ring on the master, that seals the vacuum unit so it can assist in braking.

yes ive fitted o ring and ive to much travel in pedal 2 inch from floor before brakes and yes wheels locked on adjusters bled with freind pumpin
