Think I've sussed how to put my free wheeling hubs back on, but now have another problem. Along with the drivers fornt wheel bearings I replaced the front drums and shoes. Took the 2A for a test drive and when I brake the pedal feels and though its pumping back at me (up and down). Any ideas?

Your drum is warped, the pump back feeling your getting is the warp, just replace it but do it as a set, front or back, jack the landy up, turn the wheel (someone can do that for you, as you just slightly apply the brake you should hit the high spot, and the wheel will stop turning, take the drum out and check it with a calliper, to make sure the drum is round and true

Thanks for the info. I've got a bad feeling that I may have somehow damaged the front drivers side stub axle when the wheel bearing failed. The drums and shoes were replaced with new when I replaced the bearing. When I fitted the drivers side drum and shoes, it did bind a little then release in one spot on every rotation. The race way of the bearings was shot to pieces. Could it be the stub axle damaged?

Best way to find out is take it out and look, there dead cheep to replace anyway

If you raise the Landy and turn the wheel if its the stub, the whole wheel should be out of sync then shouldn't it?

Will it be clearly visablr, or will I need to remove the wheel and use a dti on the hub?
thanks for your help (I am a junior).

The drums and shoes were replaced with new when I replaced the bearing.

I still think its the drum, new ones are not so good, always suspect new parts, just because there new don't mean they work ok, a lot of series parts now are rubbish cheap labour cheep mettle and poorly made = cheep to buy, check them with callipers

I perhaps would agree, but this started at exactly the same time when my front drivers side wheel bearing gave up. As I have now replaced the bearing, shoes and drums on the front end, it can only be something else. It's beyond me, so its now with a garage. Thanks for your help/ideas though.
