Brakes become hard under full lock

Noticed this problem a couple of times and it happened again today.

Have read a similiar thread with the same kinda thing happening on a freelander but unsure if its the same cause

Whats happenng: When on full lock (to the right) when parking etc if i touch the brakes they feel really hard as if the abs is on. It doesnt happen all the time but is quite unnerving when it does.

DIY fix or time for garage visit?

Could be a kinked flexi brake pipe?

On reading some more it could be a vcu fault?

Will do the test and see whats what, any other ideas welcomed though
