I like a lot of people have had a sod of a job getting a good pedal on my landy, ive gone though all the normal and not so normal bleading metheads
all to no avail, still a crap pedal. So I got a spare drum and cut a window in it to see whats going on. The brake shoes are contacting at the trailing edge first, they should contact the leading edge, this leaves about 3mm of gap between the shoe and the drum, this alows the shoe the flex henct a bad pedal, my shoes are patern new and i thik they are not the right curve, i am going to get some linings and reline the old shoes, unless anyone has a better idea!

going through the exact same thing with my 109, it's been a pig of a job from the start, the old cylinders were stuck that solid I had to cut one off with an angle grinder, it's fought me the whole way, and guess what, finaly got all the new cylinders and shoes/springs/hoses the whole lot on, and wait for it.... the pedal sinks like a stone :mad2: I like you have bleed em all ways checked if Ive fitted em right again and again, and the pedal still sinks like a stone :frusty: so Im hopeing that the problem with mine is the brake master cylinder is shot, so if I fit that and still cant get the brakes to work Im thinking something along the lines of smashing the whole thing to bits with a sledge hammer, or if its not raining setting fire to the thing... :der:

Can you pump some stiffness (fnarr fnarr) into the pedal?

Make sure you haven't got the top spring connected to both shoes.
The top spring should also go behind the adjuster.

I took the top spring out completely.
