One thing seems to lead to another just lately....I had the bonnet up checking my oil, etc today, and noticed a hissing, from the small egr vac pipe on the T piece of the hard brake servo vacum pipe. The rubber elbow on the small EGR pipe is shot, which is not a problem as I removed my EGR a whole back, and plugged the other end. I just left this bit connected, so will remove and plug this part.
My problem is that the plastic T piece seems to have broken off within the two pieces of hard vacum pipe. It sits about 10mm within each piece of pipe, but I can't find a replacement part for the pipe.
I was going to get a straight through pipe, minus the T piece, but can't find one anywhere. the T piece has obviously been broken some time, but I'm a bit worried about driving it til it's replaced now that I've found it. It's just pushed on both ends. Can I make up a section using normal vacum hose? ie not the hard pipe, using a straight through pipe connector? Typical when I'm due to be on the road at 5 in the morning! If so, anyone know what size connector i 'd need?
Thanks in advance!
