Brake problem P38 Auto Diesel Auto

Don't give up so easily. Two duff switches seems unlikely, have you checked that power is getting to the switch as I suggested? Have you checked continuity at the switch? Never a good idea to buy parts until you really know what the fault is, the fault may well be elsewhere.
Fitted second hand pump as soon as I turned ignition on I can hear it running . Break peddle still the same and all three warning lights still on. What's my next step. Thanks. P.S.. try and keep it easy

Never changed a pump, but I would expect you will need to bleed the brake system. this has to be done exactly in accordance with the procedure laid down in RAVE.

Will bleeding the system solve my problem, excuse me if this is a dumb question but I am a complete novice

Paul with due respect if you are a complete novice you should not be playing with brakes. If you have changed the pump the system will need bleeding. That may sort it or it may not. I really do suggest you get someone who knows what they are doing involved.
 
Followed brake bleeding procedure on you tube with wifey on the peddle all lights out and just to make my day perfect I put car in for mot just to check and find out what other gremlins awaited , and blow me she passed ,Happy Days
