Looking to replace the master cylinder on my Defender. Seen a few threads slagging Brit parts. What are Allmakes like? Seen PR2 TRW brake parts online. The price of these seem somewhere in-between. These ok? Genuine parts are three time the cost of Allmakes. Can I be sure of quality and something that don't fail and kill me!!!

You can still order other variants from Britpart. By using a "G" (for OEM quality) at the end of the part number or sometimes "LR" (for Genuine Land Rover parts)

The difference on price with these parts is generally quality.

Buy cheap buy twice (if you've alive of course, or not in prison). I replaced a good deal of my braking system last Easter and paid a bit extra for a Lucas TRW master cylinder and servo drum, just for the peace of mind.

I don't understand how they can be so bad and still exist though. All the Britpart parts I've sold over the counter, supplied to the workshop or fitted to my own vehicle I never heard any bad stories about them or had any problems myself. That was up to 4 years ago though, has their quality changed that much recently?
