Just realised I'm getting metal to metal contact on my rear driver side brakes. Didn't have to travel far with it but there is now some wear in the disc. What's the limit with the amount of wear? Ill get some pictures tomorrow when its light and I can whip the wheel off.

Now I've gotta find some pads. I hope I don't need a hub too.

Rob,brake discs cost next to nothing now, pads are just the same so replace rather than repair.safety etc etc.;)

this is the old " do what I say, not what I do " scenario

the right way is disc and pad the axle
any other way is down to your mechanical knowledge of whats safe

I have had pads down to metal and put new ones in coz that was my disition and my circumstances at the time ,

But no one should tell some ellse to do it over the net

great stuff.not too bad a price either is it.what makes???

Can't grumble at that price at all. Was expecting £200!

All bearmach and upwards. No britpart from where I get my parts from.

Rear right disc was borderline on the wear and some scoring on both sides. Not worth skimping.

cheers rob.will take a look at their site.:tea:

It's not the most extensive site but give them a bell and they get anything next day 99% of the time

That's my disc. Can't really tell but there's a groove at the edge.

And whilst you have the hubs off you of course will be doing the bearings all round, wont you?

I mean you have done half the work already by taking the hubs off so its rude not to IMHO, at the very least clean re-pack and fresh locking washers all round please. ;)
