brake line help please

hi all

ok i have a standard disco 30tdi its been layed up while i bin welding the old girl up and now she is done, but the rear beake calipers are shot and the disks are screwed (now replaced) and so are the formed lines to the union i have now found the old brass union from flexi hose to the formed pipe on the rear axel and it looks like the flexi pipes will fail soon so i might as well replace them!

two questions on the flexi hose

1) will a 40mm extended set of hoses work ok until i get time to fit a lift kit?
2) has any one used brit part braided hoses as they look ok im just concerened on there quality! as have had brit parts before

if not can anyone recomend a set for about £50 quid?

Paddocks are doing Goodridge braided hose kits (ignore the link that may have appeared here) starting at £25 + Vat and that is what I fitted a couple of years ago.

I went 2" longer on standard springs with no problems - just make sure they are not going to catch or rub on anything and you should be fine
