brake/indicator fuse blows!

my break/indicator/gauge's fuse (10amp) keeps blowing.i really have no idea where to start and dont look forward to pulling 16yr old wiring apart!
does anyone have any ideas or had a similar problem?
 
last time the wiring was touched was almost a yr ago to change all light fittings.slow painful testing?brake lights/wires first?.maybe
