Brake fluid as a paint restorer?

Yes, that's right, my 90 is painted in enamel, it was heavily oxidised, I accidently spilled some brake fluid on it so started to wipe it off with a cloth, I noticed that it took all the oxidisation with it! A quick wipe on then rinse with hot soapy water and its all gone now, the paint if pretty fked anyway but it did work!
