Im hoping for some help with fixing brake pedal slack. I have tried the drum adjusters but they just turn freely so before I go about replacing the drums could it be anything else? (I have done the pads front and back etc)
Thanks

Something is not right and you have to find out what. The adjusters must stop in less than one full turn, if not they are broken or the shoes are on wrong or the pins broken. They should go fully anti-clock then stop hard, then go clockwise until the shoe hits the drum and it won't trun, then back 2 clicks.

Hmm thanks heyt do come to a hard stop anticlockwise but just run all the way around until they fall back to minimum. I replaced the adjusters on the front and they worked for a bit but after a month I adjusted them an extra click and they ran out of adjustment.

Bad quality shoes with pins in wrong place or pins falling out especially Mintex who previously had good reputation.
Take the drums off and put some chalk lines on refit drums get some one to gently apply brakes whilst you turn th wheel check to see where chalk is rubbed off.
Also possible you have fitted the wrong cam to adjuster as two different sizes depending on LWB or SWB.

I'll have a look thanks

It does sound like the cams are missing the pins. You may need to start with a new set of shoes. The replacement adjusters come as a kit and work well but are not an easy fit, there's some grinding involved but if your adjusters trun they are prpobably OK.. As said above, check the shoes and springs are in right and that you have the right shoes.

Hmm ok. The cams seem to be working and moving the shoes in and out but the bottom of the shoes don't make contact with the drum? The drum is also measuring oversized at over 10 1/4" inches could that be it or is there an adjustment I'm missing? Thanks

Worn drum, worn shoes and cams go around and around when you try to adjust up. May catch pins when you back off
Blackburn also right about wrong cams.
