Brit part. No chance there is rust showing on them. There stuff does not last long enough to produce rust.
Does the disk still have any life left?

lucky I don't have any pics of my push bikes disks. If I have a bad day with mud you eat a set if pads in less than 10 miles & your metal on metal.

Ceramic pads are too hard. I would have to update my aluminium disks. More costs.
Brakes are evil.
I have changed these while out on big rides I get used to the squeal and stop/change before the next descents.

Shimano disks with B01s resin pads
This is what my bike looks after 20 clean miles.all Chalk tracks round here & are like cutting paste this time of year with plenty of standing water to ride through.

that’s look an extremely nice bike and know they can cost serious cash , mine was a youngs with campagnolia gear and removable tubs, over 25 x years ago and know bikes have dramatically advanced

ref the landy i’ve always where possible fitted genuine discs and pads , did always like the drilled ones but heared so many horror stories of them cracking between the drill holes and groved discs allows the mud to get between the disc and pad and act like a grinding stone

know the D3 eats discs and pads for breakfast so been looking around for recommended pads , but would still like the buy genuine discs, can’t do the V8 conversion as i’ve only got 17 inch rims and need 18s min

looking at some borg and beck or meyle, roughly £130 for a pair of front discs, pads and wear sensor

also got the fun of the EPB brake shoes behind the rear discs to contend with

I only buy genuine pads/disks
I have updated big 110 calipers on the front & disco disk on rear.
There are some good sintereed pads. Time to get searching
Fitted with Non vented & non drilled disks & this motor was built to tow & move heavy weights. 20+ years & I can't complain with my landy brakes and some of the dodgy farm trailers I have moved.

thks, always like to do plenty of research first and will check out the sintereed pads , thks

i did buy front and rear drop links including the anti roll bar bushes and bought meyle as i was reading the cheaper one were snapping

when it comes to brakes and tyres i always ensure i can buy the best i can and would never go near britpart

some of the bearmach parts aren’t bad , u see so many horrible cheap brake parts these days wouldn’t touch them

Used to have good discount at Landrover dealer.
Pulled the owner out of a ditch when racing. They have now sold out so discount finished. Use local motor factors for brakes.
Any info on disco3 Forum for brakes?
Too much electronics on these motors for me. Like it simple

Why does my brake pedal feel like it's pulsing?

I,ve MOT'd a car with one disc like that .......the brake pad had worn that bad it had actually gone completely and the braking ( such as it was ) was being done by the caliper piston on what remained of the disc , Oh and it wasn;t an old car either

borg and beck or trw seem very good , apart from genuine , indeed has been a steep learning curve learning the electronics on these

did buy the gap iid diagnostic reader , can also put the epb into service mode , all learning

advanced factors i’ve found very good and many D3 owners use them

as a side note , one guy took his D3 in to get his brakes checked by a dealer and they said he needed new pads , mmmmmmmm
