brake caliper problems TD4

hi there , i was wondering if anyone can help me out, ive got a FREELANDER TD4 03 PLATE, had problem with smoke coming from drivers side wheel, so went to garage, where i was told i needed brakes,discs and a driver side caliper, so garage said £195.00 , wich i didnt think was too bad, then they said could only get brake caliper from LANDROVER direct, as they had been sent wrong caliper, so now price gone up to £310.00, wasnt happy, so had work done, and they said no guarantee, which i wasnt happy with, but got my car back after 2 days, since then the drivers side whell is still hot and also burning smell, was wondering f anyone has had same problems or if anyone has any advice for me please.

if you're in the AA or RAC, get them involved.
In any case, get the car looked at by a reputable garage soonest.
If you tell us where in the country you are, someone on here might be able to recommend a garage.
