Brake Caliper Bolts

Well here I go again, Don't know if I've done something wrong or I have got the wrong bolts, Went to my local Landy dealer today for Brake Caliper bolts, when I tried to fit caliper they would not go in, I originally thought it was paint and gunge ect in the threaded holes when I cleaned and painted the housings.
Anyway give them a good clean and bolts will still not go in, I did get one started but after a couple of turns it started to strip the bolt and just got tighter and would not go any further so took it back out. Looking at the bolt next to the holes they do look bigger.
Have I got the right bolts or am I doing something wrong AGAIN :(
Wouldn't care but he charged me Fu!!!ng £8 for 4 bolts.

They look like the caliper bolts I use. Assuming it will not go in without the caliper fitted either. I do not know if there are metric and imperial versions possibly have the wrong one from the a different year model?

Mine is I987 110 COUNTY Not sure if they are different sizes.
 
As above,

there appears to be 2 different ones.

AFU1031 and FTC3375

See if another bolt will screw in without a problem, one that you know the size of and then go back to your dealer.

Two quid a bolt is not expensive, and they are a pita to fit when they have gone through the hole in the caliper as they have to be perfectly lined up.
Have you tried dry fitting the bolts without the caliper?

I would be a bit suspicious about the threads in the hole of the bolt that started stripping as you may have damaged it which will cause issues getting the next / correct one in. If you can, it may be worth trying the new bolt in from the other side it see if the threads are good all the way through and it may clean up any slight damage. If it won't go through don't force it and you may need to run a thread tap through it to clean the threads properly.
 
Got bolts changed today, did not get a chance to try them but they do look like they will fit.
Will get back tomorrow, Thanks everyone for help.

Could have been worse...
I went to Eurocarparts fore D2 caliper bolts when I was changing a hub last week, they do not do them, so the young guy behind the counter suggested I go to Screwfix and buy brake caliper bolts.....:eek::eek::oops::oops:.

Saying That there is local place to me called Bescol, they usually can match any bolt size you give them, never thought about trying them, they would have charged me a couple of quid for the 4 , got my top swivel pin bolts from there they worked perfect.

top swivel pin bolts are just std bolts caliper bolts are not they are special bolts,shank length and dowel fit are vital,the reason they are a fine thread is so you cant just get any suitable size bolt to fit
