I fitted a new clutch cylinder and looking at the inside of the pipe connection it looks like a bubble flare fitting and not double flare which it should be. Can someone confirm that and can I use double flare in a bubble flare end?

I don’t know what you call any of them but I’ve just re done all my brake lines and only used bubble type ends as opposed to trumpet bell type ones.
If that helps :confused::oops:

You should not use a double flared pipe in a bubble flare connection as it will not seat properly.

Are the pipe union fittings Metric or UNF threads? Metric usually uses double flares, while UNF uses bubble.

Is the vehicle a Series or Defender? Your avatar image shows a Defender.

Attached image shows flare types.
