bottom pulley removal hell!!! help!!!

is th pulleys in line?.prehaps the wrong length pump nose?

the replacement pulley came from a 1997 4.6 hse like mine so i would assume the dims would be the same. all the pulleys appear to line up - and the belt appears to be in line with no kinks or bends that i can see.

soory to maybe ask a daft question beast but being new to all this mechanic stuff what do you mean by wrong length pump nose?

irish - i fitted a brand new auto tensioner last weekend so i am assuming that is ok. what i might try it removing the fan and belt and turn the car over and see how the bottom pulley spins? would it be ok to do that or will i cause any damage?

OMG this f'cking p'ssing me off now!!!!! now the engine disabled has come up and wont start. please someone how do i undisable it? says use remote but what does that mean?

just tried the eka code entry as documented on rangerovers.net but not joy but might of exceeded the 3 attempts so need to weight a bit but have just given in a spoke to a mechanic i know and it is going in to be dealt with by the pros. the only advantage is i have replace all the main bits and did it myself so at least i wont have to pay garage mark up rpices on parts and labour to fit them. all i can say is i have had a go
