Both rear locks have packed up

I should mention that they lock ok if I open the doors from inside. What's the BCU? Is it similar to the UCH in my old Laguna, in that it controls the doors and wipers, etc?

Would it be worthwhile disconnecting the battery to see if a reset sorts the problem? Also, once I've unlocked the back doors, if I push the locking button back down, I can't pull it back up. Could the locks be stuck in 'superlock'?
