When I first had my second Freelander td4 auto there were a few problems and advised to change the maf sensor which I did now 13 years after suffering a few problems like smoke on start up and acceleration ,I had enough and was going to sort it out, looking through my spares draws I came across the original maf sensor a Bosch one and I thought what the hell, I will try in and now after 2000 miles I am confident that there was no problem with it in the first place so much for the experts.
Now no smoke on start up and no smoke while accelerating, no lumpiness smooth running and it is like having a new engine I have bought some reconditioned injectors but I can honestly say does it really need it also on a run I am getting around 39 miles pr gallon I hope this can help others out
