Boot touching chassis !

Evening !

Did a complete service on my D1 at work today,

One of the lads pointed out that most of my boot floor is touching the chassis !

Can even see when the boot has crumpled around the spring mounts !


Has the boor floor finally given in and buckled ?


Need to replace the near side rear spring mount anyway (proving hard as the only ones I can find arent what are on the vehicle) so I might as well do the boot floor at the same time I guess rather than drag it out,

Would it be worth checking over the body mounts around the boot area to see if they;ve bucked ?

Better check the body mounts at the sill and rear cross member.

Most likely they have collapsed.

Better get her on the ramp again monday to get some photos then lol

Would also say sounds like your rear body mounts have rotted away. When mine went the spring seats were the only thing holding the body up.
