book symbol

all heating and cooling and aircon is working ok but ive got the book symbol coming up intermitently could the aircon need regassing maybe.

the book symbol can mean a few faults. If your A/C needs to be re-gased the compressor clutch will not be able to engage. If you turn the AC on and look at the compressor you will see if the clutch is engaging or if the pulley is free wheeling. The other common faults are blend flap motors which are either jamed or unable to travel through there cycles. The only way you will know for sure is to have it plugged in and the faults read.

Suggest you have a good read here, if your air con is working correctly (check against the normal operating function test), then I'd pay attension to the fuse box section.
