That’s for a defender but should still fit the series , sure my bonnet only touches at the catch and hinges

Thanks guys, Thats the thing I was wondering about originally! My homemade canvas seal seems ok, it sits against the bulkhead fine and when I get some seals for under the bonnet all should be well! Hopefully.......

The problem with a canvas seal is that it will hold moisture which may cause rusting

Its a kind of temporary thing to see if it works or not if it does am thinking of making a rubber un ......and the bulk heeds been well painted last year

It’s a fiver a meter at Woolies trim. Just look for door side seal.£38 for a rubber seal!

I cant get it either. Seems the channel directs water onto the clutch pedal box, its a LHD, and the clutch box was renewed last year with a new gasket. Ive poured water right onto the back of the pedal box where the slave cylinder is and it pours through somehow
Inside is sound, no holes or rust etc round the pedal so I have two options either stop it hitting the pedal box or take out the brake servo etc and maybe the wing to somehow seal round the clutch pedal box.

Right, progress. Wing off to get acces to clutch box. Gasket fine and tight all round the sides apart from the wee H bit in the middle. Load of sealant over it, all good, leak gone ! Handy getting the wing off can nip up the steering box at the same time

A bit late in the day I know but just a way of diverting the waterhi folks, in the joys of pouring rain and howling winds that constitute ‘summer’ in Argyll, I’m having to use the Series as a daily driver as my other cars in the garage
