Bonnet stuck

How do I open the bonnet? No I will not use an angle grinder or tin opener. The lever in the car operates as normal but the bonnet does not spring up, is there anyway of getting at the release from infront of the car it's a 53 FL1 with face lift?

Is the cable snapped? Or is the thing just rusted stuck? You could try spraying some penetrator oil like Plusgas in there and see if that loosens it.

If think its rusted shut, I think the garage may have pressured washed it for me a week ago and did not re grease it!!!!.

Get someone to pull the leaver while you push down and pull up on the bonnet,keep doing it it may work.

Tried pulling and pushing cable has stretched!!!

Can you get at it from underneath if you remove the sump gaurd and reach up the front of the engine I've got 6 foot arms!!
