Hi,

Just bought my first landy - Defender 110 LWB 200Tdi, 1992.

Noticed that there's quite a gap between the wing and bonnet. Should there be a rubber seal to stop the rain getting in and would water damage anything under the hood?

Thanks

Yes but its really hard to fine. You can pick up some 'instant grab adhesive' from most hardware shops. Open the bonnet and place a line of it on both the wing and the bonnet where they both meet, shut the bonnet and place a large weight on it to seal both areas.

Water can damage anything, just depends how much there is of it.

If you are concerned about this gap, get a mat (as I presume you wear a suit :) ) kneel down and look under the front of the landy, there are a couple of gaps there too, Expanding Foam can be used here though you will need allot.

You will find a load of info on this forum, and some stupid answers, if upto you to choose which to follow :)

by the way. no. no seal. you could try and fit an otter there instead but good luck :)
