Bonnet Release broken..help!

Anyone help me with how to open the bonnet on my 90 from 1987? The release cable appears to be broken somewhere...and when i eventually open it how do i replace the cable...from the cabin to the front or in reverse...thanks.

I need to sort my bonnet puller out one day it seems to have seized and now to open the bonnet you need to pull the cable behind it.

whip the grille off and you can release the catch from underneath with a screwdriver.
