Bolt on TDi front cover

Hello L/R friends,

I have just noticed a bolt hole on the lower front timing cover on my Land Rover Defender 300 TDi and I cannot recall whether is it supposed to have a bolt in that location or perhaps something is normally fastened there?

Thats the drain/vent for the timing case, there is also one on the bell housing, you fit wading plugs in there when you off roading and it stops water and muck getting in there and making a mess of everything
