I have read on here with people having some results of reading some info off of their ecu with these adaptors.

I bought Ebay item no: 261303432748 and tried it withTorque free version on my mk1 2.0 L but i get the message that the device cannot connect to the ECU.

Is this because the obd2 reader is faulty, or is it due to my ecu not being true obd2.

Any had any success with reading fault codes off of an early freelander, if so what device do you use. I know hawkeye works but I dont have £300 at the moment.

Did you try it with the engine running
My ob2 comes up with the same message when car not running fl2
