best not to risk it ive seen the police pull over military and raf police over this they even have the power to impound your vehicle and charge you with things like impersonating a police officer as well as a whole host of motoring offences enough for hefty ban and fine as well as loss of vehicle
ma brothers jist informed me that this is due to a ****ing comp over juristiction ma thoughts on this might be of the mark

Sorry, but that is not correct !!!

For the record, the Military police (and that includes the likes of the RAF) have a higher juristriction than 'civilian' police . . . the only officialdom that is 'higher' are police on Royal protection duties and custom and excise officers !!!

dont know bout that grippa was thought at provost training that civilian law always takes precedent in time of peice and rmp snowdrops etc only have juristiction over armed forces and are only allowed to use lights uncovered on traffic units and mod property cept on escort duties

further down it says white lights other than on front can only be reversing or worklights
true, but when you use them. What I need is something that only LOOKS LIKE ONES.
Considering that lights would not be connected, you can have anything that looks like any color except blue (imitation or not) unless you are an emergency vehicle.
From my part that closes the thread. Thanks for all the help.
