hi all i am having trouble with the starter fuse blowing when crancking the engine over , it has been fitted with a new starter ,it is the fuse which is shared by the elect air susp , 23 of the 5 solenoids in the eas smell a little of burning when you stick your bugle on them , has anyone had this type of problem or can anyone give me any clues on how to remove the distribution pipes so as i can get to the wires to replace the solenoids
at the end of my teather now , better add its a 1998 model
cheers all

The Solenoids just plug into the base of the fuseboard. Pull it out and look for signs of burning on the fuseboard base itself. You can swap the starter relay with another of the same colour to eliminate the relay as the cause.
The relay energises the starter motor solenoid, which in turn supplies power to the motor itself via the heavy positive cable from the battery and another heavy cable which is integral with the motor.
The solenoid itself does not pull a great amount of power in comparison with the motor .

You say the eas smells of burning?
I had a very similar problem if not the same, turned out it had nothing to do with the starter it was my eas pump that had burnt out
Try unpluging the pump in the eas box then try a new fuse
That fuse only powers the starter and the eas pump so if its not one its the other
