I have diagnosed that I need a new resistor for the blower motor as it only works on speed 3.
I also have another strange problem which I can't find with search or our good friend Google. When the engine is up to temp, the blower will blow "warm" out of the vents that point to the front windscreen, but when I slide the slider across for it to blow out of the vents pointing to driver and passenger it will only blow cold.
I am going to order a new resistor soon and tackle my other above problem along with it, but just fishing to see if anyone knows the exact reason to give me a helping push in the right direction when I come to make the repair.

edit: Just thought Id add this is a 200tdi with no A/C
