Trying to refit panhard rod on my defender just can't see how to line it up to push the bolt through can get it in one side but not the other and vice versa
Any tips or tricks for this thanks
 
You need to move the body across relative to the axle, i.e get a mate to push it in the direction needed or come up with some method using ropes etc
 
When I've done mine I find it easier to leave the wheels on so that the body doesn't slide too far out of kilter, which is why I can line everything up again with a bar. ;) ;)
 
Bolt to chassis first then get someone to hold the panhard in the axle bracket whilst someone else turns the steering wheel. The holes will line up so get them to hold wheel there while you stick bolt through. That's what I done and it was a piece of ****

+1 Don't bother jacking it up or owt else just tweak the steering wheel until the bolt holes line up ;)
