Hi all, I have searched all of this sight for an answer to this. awhile ago my nearside bag would sometimes go down, but not allways, I bought a new one from Paddocks, haven't fitted it because when I checked with soapy water I could find no leaks. This week, again not always, when it does go down it is both sides, it always comes up fairly quick (at the moment). Surely the other bag hasn't sprung a leak as well. Could it be the valve assembly between the compressor & the bags and how can I check? I don't wanna buy another bag then find that they were both ok in the first place, how much is this unit or is it part of the compressor?

Try clearing up your ride height sensors, might be giving a false reading to the ECU and letting air out of the bags when it shudnt be (usual prob with air bags, get a coil conversion!)

Thanks for the response, but what do you mean by "clearing up" the sensors? should I give em a spray of WD or what??

That i'm not sure of, never having a disco 2 :D jsut know its a common fault.

You got a haynes? or rave? have a look in there. might jsut need a clean with a soft rag and touch of water

mine has been dropping periodicaly for the last two years.
I booked it into 2 Landrover specialists and both of them assured me that there was no fault and charged me for the investigation.
It only happens now and again and sometimes goes several weeks with no problem.
The engineer at one of the dealers assured me that he had seen problems caused by the signals from electrical goods which imitated the signal that is used on the keyfob to lower the suspension.
I used to park next to the room with my computer in it. It had a radio link keyboard which i swapped for an ordinary one. Problem went away for a few weeks and I thought that I had cracked it.But no back it came.
I am just waiting for it to get bad enough so that the fault can be found.
