yeah i have just replace the relay. I have read posts elsewhere about the same issue but they just tail off with no answer to the problem.

back to your hazard switch, the black and red wire goes to the left hand spade terminal and the black earth to the right, this will also earth your indicator flasher unit

now that is a good idea but it dose it when you turn the heater on too. just can do with out that at this time of year.

Sounds like yer got a dodgy earth somewhere !

av a butchers tmorra ! look for a few black (usually) wires that bolt to the bulkhead or suchlike then undo em and clean em up so they make a good contact. then blather em in vaseline or waxoil.
just trial n error am affraid ;)

most fooking cars have a tick tock in time with the indicators.. if them got a mecahnical relay that is

I believe the law REQUIRES there to be TWO warnings to the driver that he or she is flashing - visual by the little light on the dash and the audible ticking of the thing.

Certainly used to be that way.

I have no problem with lady drivers flashing at me by the way.

anyhoo's i'd check your earth connections, i once managed to get my tail and brake lights to flash when the indicators were on.... turned out the earth connections were all corroded, after cleanin up the connections it were all fine again. sorted!!
