Blinking red light!??

Hi there mates...the red light at middle of meter panel blinks(picture below) when i start the engine and stays blinking till i finish off the engine....it blinks while on the road too...

is this normal or something is wrong?? i have no idea ....please advice me mates ..thanks a lot :confuse

Its the immobiliser. In theory, blinking means the engine is immobilised, so I've no idea why yours is able to start and run.

If you sit in the car and use your key fob to take the alarm off the red light should stop. I get mine on by accident if the key fob is knocked in my pocket. However it will still start and drive.....but when you turn it of again it wont start and when you attempt to start the alarm goes off. No idea why. I am used to it, but the girlfriends not. She went to the post box, switched off and couldnt start again.

thanks mates...i will check how does mine works...but today theres no light!...weird..

it will stay running when the light is flashing cus the immobiliser cuts off the starter solenoid. if its already running, no problem. Theoretically it cuts off the fuel pump aswell. But with all the immob issues these cars have, most are bypassed.

I've noticex mine occationally flashes too, no idea why and it still runs lol.
