bleeding fuel

hi, i'm going to service my land rover defender 300tdi tomorrow for the first time (as it's my first land rover and only hade it a few months) and i was just wundering about changing the fuel filter is it just simply unscrew the old one and screw on the one, or dose it need bleeding if so how do i bleed it

Hi did the same last month on my landy 300tdi just removed the old one filled the new one with diesel and re fitted it and it runs fine

As said above you can simply swap it over, the engine will run a little lumpy for a bit as it fills.
