My Freelander has got something else in common with my first Landy, a 109 1 ton, 2.6l petrol. No, not the fuel comsumption, thank goodness.
It's been a long time since I had to de-ice the inside of a windscreen!
No heated screen or FBH on mine, worst luck.
Are these wee 150w plug into the ciggie lighter socket fan heaters I've seen for £15-£20 worth a try?
And no, my cubby box is bone dry, before you ask, but I do have rubber overmats on all the carpets, incl the loadspace.
regards, Bill

some of the later models had a ceramic electric heater built in to the heater matrix to give a faster warm up - might be worth looking at, but then again, likely to cost more than 15 to 20 even from a breakers.

the 150w heaters are kind of ok, just make sure you have engine running and have a long enough run to recharge the battery
