Been on here for a while now but never introduced myself and after the time and money that has been saved by the advice given by you people thought I should do the introduction thing.
Have been brought up with a large selection of landrovers taking priority on the drive with my dad swearing underneath most weekends. Bought my first when I was 17 but joined the air force and a series 1 was not ideal to get back and forth from kent to oxford so reluctantly sold it :(
2 years ago I came across someone who had a K reg 90 that they had picked up from wales and was sitting doing nothing and needed a lot of attention. Crashed the van, (maybe subconsciously deliberately) and purchased the defender. Just finished a degree in Landscape management while running a property maintenance company and will be only taking a job that lets me keep the landy.
Thanks for the advice so far people!

Big Hello to WAZ
Welcome m8y
As you may already know, its a good bunch of lads and lassie here, always helpful, and pulling your leg...(don't i know)
Keep popping in, and remember, someone sometime will need help like you.
Cheers

Yes, thick skin required but I think dealing with the issues that an 18 yr old defender throws at you at all the wrong times teaches you a lot.

Eh up mate ... know the feeling ... my lady is 18 now and giving me lots of trouble. With the help of the lads and ladesses on here though it's a ball load of fun fixing it. In fact I remember one day when mine was running extremely well I was desperate for a fault to develop just so I could ask on here! ... Low and behold, before the next junction the clutch failed for me :D:D ... enjoy LZ
