better but still not perfect HPFP?!
Dear members,
I am still trying to figure out why my LM322 has a rough idling.
The following symptoms are known:
-car has a rough idling (see video below)
-while driving it is noticeable that the car hesitates to accelerate
-when engine is cold the vehicle starts right away, whereas driving it for 30 minutes and then trying to restart after a short break won´t let you restart. If I manage to restart it than the rev. meter shows 500revs and there is no way to move the car by hitting the pedal. Even the rev. meter stays at 500. After 30 min. when engine cools off then it starts without hesitation.
The following has been done so far:
-new low pressure fuel pump
-gas tank was cleaned mechanically
-I put in new high quality gas
Now:
Car runs a bit better but the above mentioned symptoms are still evident
What could be the final solution???
-camshaft?
-crankshaft?
-lobe/follower?
-high pressure fuel pump?
And if it is the pump, what are the most common parts which fail…instead of changing the costly entire pump.
I am very thankful to any tips and hints …in order to end this never ending agony…
Best regards
Steven
